The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the establishment of the Namrup-IV Fertilizer Plant in Assam. This brownfield ammonia-urea complex will be developed within the premises of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) in Namrup. The project aims to enhance domestic urea production, particularly benefiting the northeastern region of India.
