1) Union Environment Ministry approved the Lakhwar electricity project on Yamuna river. Apart from electricity generation, six states will also get irrigation and pure drinking water from this project. Its construction will provide 330 metric cusec meters of additional water.

4) Ghulam Nabi Azad’s Rajya Sabha term ends.He first became a Rajya Sabha member in 1990 from Maharashtra but in 1996, shifted to his home state, Jammu and Kashmir — which became a Union Territory in 2019. 6) The Textiles Committee, Ministry of Textiles, and Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre, Japan, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to ensure quality of textile and clothing exports to Japan as specified by Japanese buyers.
▪️ Recent News :- Textiles Minister Smriti Irani has inaugurated the 8th India International Silk Fair on Virtual Portal. The fair is considered to be India’s biggest silk fair, being held under one roof on Indian Silk Export Promotion Council’s virtual platform.

7) The historical city Mandu in Madhya Pradesh is all set to welcome tourists to the Mandu Festival of this year on February 13th and 14th. The two-day Mandu festival organised by Madhya Pradesh Tourism will have heritage walks, cycling tours, photo contests, yoga workshops, musical performances and much more.

8) The Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated “Aadi Mahotsav”, a National Tribal Festival being organized by TRIFED, Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi.
👉Aadi Mahotsav is a Celebration of the Spirit of Tribal Culture, Crafts, Cuisine and Commerce – is a successful annual initiative that was commenced in 2017.

9) The Indian military carried out a large-scale conjoint training exercise, codenamed Kavach or shield, in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal to fine-tune joint war-fighting capabilities.

11) Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology has developed a satellite which the Indian Space Research Organisation will launch on February 28. The college’s 12 students with support from faculty had developed the satellite, Sri Shakti Sat, at around ₹2 crore.

12) The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) has launched a week-long digital campaign ‘Ab Pata Chal Jaane Do’ to shed the guilt and shame associated with menstruation, causing trauma, ignored health issues and misdiagnosis for girls.
👉The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) has been constituted under the Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act, 2005 vide a notification issued by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi on 7 July, 2008. It has six members and a Chairperson. The Commission started functioning from 8 September, 2008.
