1) The Government of India and the World Bank signed a 500-million US dollar Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States Programme (STARS) to improve the quality and governance of school education in six Indian states.
👉These include Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Rajasthan.

3) Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Chauri Chaura Centenary celebrations virtually in Uttar Pradesh.
Prime Minister has also released a postal stamp dedicated to the centenary year of the Chauri Chaura incident.
👉The families of martyrs and freedom fighters has also joined celebrations for the historical event that took place on 4th February, 1922.
▪️ Recent News – Chief minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the 24th edition of the Hunar Haat, a flagship programme of the ministry of minority affairs to promote indigenous handicraft and speciality products, at Awadh Shilpgram, Lucknow.
👉Recently, Uttar Pradesh government (UP) Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath launched a 3-week ong campaign namely “Kisan Kalyan Mission” for the state’s farmer welfare and to double their income.

4) President Ram Nath Kovind launched the pulse polio programme for 2021 by administering polio drops to children less than five years of age at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

5) Karuna Sagar, a 1991 batch IPS officer of the TN cadre, has bagged the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Award for the year 2020 under the public service category.

6) Union Minister for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, Dr Harsh Vardhan dedicated the new coastal research vehicle ‘Sagar Anveshika’ to the nation at Chennai port.

7) The South-East Central Railways (SECR) zone in Chhattisgarh breaks its own previous record by successfully operating the longest ever freight train by amalgamating five rakes of goods trains as one unit of around 3.5 km.
👉Named as ‘Vasuki’, it covered the distance of 224 km between the railway stations of Bhilai and Korba and took about seven hours.

8) Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the new four-lane Thaltej-Shilaj-Rancharda railway overbridge in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat.

9) The Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated “Aadi Mahotsav”, a National Tribal Festival being organized by TRIFED, Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi.
👉Aadi Mahotsav is a Celebration of the Spirit of Tribal Culture, Crafts, Cuisine and Commerce – is a successful annual initiative that was commenced in 2017.

10) The Lucknow Metro has set another record by becoming the first metro project in the country to use ultraviolet (UV) rays to sanitise train coaches.
The UP Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has taken inspiration from the New York Metro’s experiment to sanitise trains with UV lamp rays.

11) The Indian military carried out a large-scale conjoint training exercise, codenamed Kavach or shield, in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal to fine-tune joint war-fighting capabilities.
